I have this DELL STORAGE connected with proxmox server. When i add the iSCSI by using IPv4, it's connected. Now the problem is when i try to add the LVM from the iSCSI connection.

I have tried proxmox 5.4 and it's working fine. The problem only occured when i use Proxmox 6.

Can someone help enlighten me?

Check the filter settings in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf

In principle it works fine in Proxmox VE 6.0 too. Make sure that there is currently no other connetion to iSCSI target, clear all references to it in Proxmox host and try again. If it persists try another target.

ravmeister, were you able to get this resolved? I have had the exact same issue since upgrading to Proxmox 6. Was never a problem for me in PVE 5.

Check the filter settings in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf

Richard, what should we look for in the filter settings?

are you using multipath? If yes, please have a look here and here.

If not, please post your global_filter and filter lines from /etc/lvm/lvm.conf. Was the disk wiped when you tried to add it or were there partitions on it? Can you check with pvs and vgs if the device shows up (use ls -l /dev/disk/by-id/<YOUR DEVICE> first to see which /dev/sdX to look for).
