proxmox 5 two nodes HA

Hi, i'm in a little bit in trouble right now setting up proxmox 5 with 2 nodes. Cluster is already set up. But i can't get it working it says that i need a shared storage.

here's my host machine

2 NX3100 with PERC H700 2 internaldrives(bootdisk) and 12 hot swap drives.

any help or idea how to get it set up for 2 nodes HA configuration?

There is no possibility to setup a two node HA Cluster.

i can secure 3 host machine to set up

i can secure 3 machine for 3 nodes HA configuration. But all of that machine had perc h700 in it.


is it possible to have HA configuration with ceph?

The problem is ceph do not like Raid Controllers.
Ceph is designed to control the disk cache itself.
When you change the Perc h700 agains a HBA, the node have egnough cpu and memory and a dedicated 10 GBit network,
you can use ceph.

i see. Does this Perc H700 can be turn into something like IT mode to use with ceph, if not is there any other option i can use to get it working?

You have to ask Dell if they have an it mode image to flash the controller.

GlusterFS works with HWRaid and can be used.
