Proxmox 5.1 + Ryzen 1700 / 1800 ?

Hello everyone,

We're looking into building a new server running Proxmox 5.1.

Any experience with a Ryzen 1700 or 1800? I read about stability issues with Proxmox 5.0 and thermal sensor reading problems. Are those resolved with Proxmox 5.1? Any other thoughts worth sharing?

We're considering either of these CPUs or a Xeon E3-1275v6, along with 64 GB DDR4.

This is just not implemented in the mainstream kernel. It will come in 4.16, but you can easily compile the modules manually.

Any experience with a Ryzen 1700 or 1800?

We have here one WS at Proxmox and also have one at home running with PVE without problems.
The stability issues where fixed by firmware updates (most where timing and memory related).
