I just installed Proxmox 5.1-49/1e427a54 and running kernel: 4.13.16-2-pve on Dell R210 and using one HP SSD VK0480GDPVT 480GB 6G SFF 2.5" (have been used with Virtuozzo&Storage without problem)
Is this version still have ext4 or other performance issue same as Proxmox 4? because I'm facing this issue.
I have only running 4 LXCs (migrated from Virtuozzo&ESXi) and load avg is at least 2.xx and much higher when writing some files to the disk while on Virtuozzo&ESXi load avg is usually 0.xx
Sometime SWAP usage is over than GBs while much free of RAM.
I have read below threads but still unclear.
https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/performance-issue-with-proxmox-4-high-io-delay.26012
https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/high-wait-io-after-and-load-average-upgrade-to-proxmox-4.25128/
Do I have to mount ext4 with unsafe nobarrier or convert LXC to chroot as mentioned on above threads?
pveperf on root:
CPU BOGOMIPS: 42561.36
REGEX/SECOND: 1160970
HD SIZE: 9.78 GB (/dev/mapper/pve-root)
BUFFERED READS: 215.00 MB/sec
AVERAGE SEEK TIME: 0.29 ms
FSYNCS/SECOND: 116.48
DNS EXT: 15.06 ms
DNS INT: 2.19 ms
Fsync should be higher?
