Hey,
like the titel is saying. I need to install Proxmox 4.x through Virtualbox for my graduation and it does not function.
My hostsystem for Virtualbox is Windows 7.
ive come to the point where everything is working, except the GUI for Proxmox.
When i try to excess the GUI with the given IP, there is an error saying: error connection timout.
i can ping the IP with the console inside my proxmox installation.
i guess the problem is the network, but i dont rly know how to fix it.

I rly appreciate any help that is given here.

ty in advance

hey lnxbil,
thx for the reply. i have read the article and done like its written there.
i guess the problem may be my static IP-adress. i just take the one my system is sugesting for me. that may be the problem.
is there a way to see the free static IP's in my system?
I'll test the bridged mode and report back to you.

okay a little update.
i tried bridged mode and it didnt help.
the next idea i have is the default port. it is 8006. i tested it and it is not open for my system.
Is there a known problem with that? can i just use 443 for it?

IP is network, so your system does not know about static IPs. Please contact your system administrator to further assist you.

It think is best to create a host-only network inside VirtualBox which gives your host an additional local IP and you have to configure this IP in your VirtualBox (or do a reinstall which should setup everything correctly).
