Proxmox 4.2 iso feature

Starting a Proxmox 4.2 iso install there is an option: Rescue boot. Is't a small live version that boot the system and permit to check and manually solve problems or it automatically do some tasks and so can be dangerous booting on working systems?

That mode is not new - it is just experts, nothing done automatically.

So I understand that booting from this option is similar to boot from a live distro, like debian-live?

not really - it just provides a minimal environment.
