[SOLVED] Proxmox 3.3 installation from usb stick

Hi All,

I am trying to install proxmox 3.3 from usb stick. I follow this guide https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_from_USB_Stick to create the bootable usb and I am able to boot to the proxmox installation wizard.
The problem that I encounter here is the target installation points to the usb stick itself and it can't be changed to the 500gb hdd that I have.
Any advice? TIA

So it seems the harddisk is not recogniced. What kind of HD/bus is that (SCSI, SAS, SATA, IDE, USB)?

Thanks for the reply. It's SATA AHCI mode.

I never observed problems with SATA disks - no idea why you do not see it.

You are right. The installer is unable to detect my hdd. I switched the SATA port and it's working now. Thanks.
