Proxmox 2 Rc1 and Esxi 5.0 hardware requirements

Hi all,

I'm new to bare-metal and virtualization broadly speaking but I'm really astonished by Proxmox !

I'm doing some test on very basic HP N40L 2 Gb ram and with Proxmox I could install and create 3 VM, one sme server, one win XP and one Win 7.

I tried to install just now Vmware Esxi 5.0 which refused to install on 1,87 gb ram, it needs 1,97 gb at least :O. Sure, maybe these are different products, I cannot say well because my ignorance in so many aspects of both products but this is really impressive

Hi,
I think it could work.

(proxmox is just a debian linux, and a guest vm is just a kvm process inside linux)

But be carefull to not taking to much memory. (or it'll swap)
