A fresh install of 1.4 with all updates sets the computer's hardware clock to UTC and shows us our local date and time for date command.
If we choose Singapore Time as our local time (UTC+8:00) for the ProxMox Server, the machine's hardware clock (BIOS clock) is 8:00 hours behind the time shown on the server. Is this normal?

linux normally uses UTC for HW clock, yes.
