As listed, I use as of now 7.4-3 unti l can change my RAID controller.
I have a ZFS RAID1 of 2 disks for my PX System. 3 disks in ZFS RAIDZ for VMs/storage.

I tried with different Linux distros to create a VM with also different configurations in hardware specs and so on. Result was always the same:

1. VM starts booting and opens the graphical interface.
2. Sometimes I can do some configuration steps.
3. First I loose connection to the VM and shortly after my proxmox web gui becomes unresponsive and I have to fully reboot the system.

Anyone have that issue before or has an idea where I could look for the problem? I was genuinely surprised that px crashed so badly due to a malfunctioning vm.

If you are using PCI passthrough in your VM then check your IOMMU groups: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/PCI_Passthrough#Verify_IOMMU_isolation
Otherwise there is no information to guess what might be the problem. And update your Proxmox since PVE 7 is years out of support.
Noted. I will check those groups. Unfortunately an upgrade is not possible right now, since my RC is not supported by kernel 6+ it seems. As soon as I get it replaced with a hba controller of some form.

Thank you!

Update: After some digging I think I found that my IOMMU groups worked. A certain PCI device though, did not. I posted this too my other thread I opened since it very much seems my issues are connected and yes its the RC (originally hardware raid that was made into wannabe HBA through firmware).

If you want to you can have a look at that tell me if I overlooked something. Once again thank you for your help. I am still quite new to linux so this is very useful lessons learned.
