Promos & Macmini conf

I just installed promox on my Mac mini and trying to get gui to come on its Mac screen. It is not VM I tried http://127.0.0.1:8006 and doesn’t show failed to connect
My Macmini has Ethernet hand also ca use thunderbolt 2 to Ethernet and which is wan and which would be lan? I figure I would try program after I tried OPNsense

I is a clean install on Mac mini no vm

You did a full install of PVE on your Mac and are trying to connect from another machine? Then you should use

https://ip-of-your-pve:8006

to connect to the GUI. PVE only accepts https connections. The IP 127.0.0.1 will not work since this is always the localhost.

Do I have to plug in my proxmox into to modem after it is in bridge mode slog into via laptop

I have a trust pure fibre 1gib with option tv connected to 8 port switch with two netgear routers connected to Telus modem. Do I put Telus into bridge mode connect promox on Macmini with lan port and thunderbolt to ether to modem on which port then 1 port to eight port switch and then the 2 routers to switch in access mode?
