Processor Upgrade

I am currently running Proxmox VE 8.2.2 on a 2009 Mac Pro with a single Quad Core Xeon processor. I have purchased a replacement CPU tray with dual 6 Core Xeon processors. My question is: will I have to re-install Proxmox from scratch or will it auto-detect the new hardware?

As pve is Debian under the hood, it should mostly Just Work. You might have to watch out for NIC name changes tho

you will need to update /etc/network/interfaces from Console to match the new network card.
