Hello everyone, I have imported all the machines present on an ESXi server to the new Proxmox VE9 server, but not all of them start after the import. All the machines with Linux OS start without any problem, while some of those with Windows OS do not start and give a blue screen error, indicating that they do not detect the HDD. I have tried re-importing multiple times, also changing the HDD parameters in the advanced settings on the import screen, but without success. Has anyone encountered a similar problem and can help me? Thanks, Gianluca

Because your Windows VM's don't have the correct storage driver installed.

Basically you have to
- change the storage controller to sata
- check vm boot order (should boot from sata)
- boot the vm
- install virtio drivers
- shutdown vm
- attach a small virtual hard disk with the virtio controller to the vm
- start the vm
- check if the new disk is recognized
- power off vm
- remove the small disk you added before
- change the storage controller to virtio single
- check boot order of the vm (should boot from scsi)
- start up vm
- check if everything works
