Problems logging in with Chrome after IP Change 2.0rc1

Hey there,

I am setting up a new Proxmox server and after installing I had to change the IP. I edited /etc/hosts and /etc/network/interfaces, rebooted and was able to login in file via root/thepassword on firefox. But on Chrome 17.0.963.79 on Mac OS X no matter what it tells me the password is invalid. Anyone have any thoughts on why that might be?
