Looks like a DNS problem. What DNS are you using (what is the output of cat /etc/resolv.conf)? Is your internet working at all (ping -c3 1.1.1.1)?

So i can ping from my desktop fine. I can connect to the internet and ping fine from a vm on the host. But direct from console i can't ping out. No changes to the network or host. I can even connect to the web interface internally.

PING 1.1.1.1 (1.1.1.1) 56(84) bytes of data.

--- 1.1.1.1 ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 2028ms

From vm on the host

Pinging 1.1.1.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 1.1.1.1: bytes=32 time=10ms TTL=59
Reply from 1.1.1.1: bytes=32 time=10ms TTL=59
Reply from 1.1.1.1: bytes=32 time=10ms TTL=59
Reply from 1.1.1.1: bytes=32 time=11ms TTL=59

Ping statistics for 1.1.1.1:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 10ms, Maximum = 11ms, Average = 10ms

Did you check your PVE‘s network config (vmbrX IP, subnet and gateway)? Did you assign the appropiate NIC to your vmbr which is connected to your LAN/router?

As nothing has changed and can connectr via the web interface can't see it being a issue with NIC but no over ruling. Has been flawless also for the past month.

So i did put a reservation in dhcp and the nic has not change strange removing the reservation and and readding after testing everything is now working. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Maybe it will fail again in a month? Proxmox, after installation (which does DHCP to suggest an IP address), does not use DHCP. Some routers refuse to route traffic for DHCP addresses that they think are not active (because Proxmox does not do a DHCP refresh ever, unless you set that up yourself).
