Problems booting from USB stick

I followed the steps of this link for saving the ISO of Proxmox 4.2 on a flashdrive

I used dd on a Debian desktop and although the saving process finished without errors when I tried to boot it didn´t work.

Finally got the install process working using another Windows software for saving the ISO image to my USB flashdrive.
Unfortunately despite the install process finished completely I am now getting a 3F0 (Boot Device not Found) Hard disk error
on my HP 6460b laptop.
