Problem with server, only qcow2 backup

Hi, my proxmox disks have failed.
I only have the qcow2 virtual files left, how can I restore them to the new server now?

hi,

do you still have the VM config files?

if so it shouldn't be too hard. just use the same config files and put the qcow2 disks in the right places on the new host and it should work.

if you don't have the config files, then you can try creating new VM with the settings as far as you remember, and point the config to use the qcow2 disk you have

I tried with an OVA vm i copied using ssh (scp) to my new system, worked fine, i used qm import ...
