problem with networking (ARP related?)

Hi,

I have two boxes with Proxmox 4.4 configured as cluster.

Recently I did some recabling / switch / vlan reconfiguration anyway I have played with network. Then I realised that the first vm box from cluster is not responding (having static IP address assigned). And due to lack of quorum, second VM box is not operational as well. Cannot start any VMs. :(

I have checked cables, switches etc, arp shows no hw addresses (actually all IPs I try to ping are shown as incomplete). I thought HW is broken.

Finally I booted from USB stick with Ubuntu Desktop, and it worked. All 3 ethernet interfaces that are installed successfully got IP from DHCP server, I can also connect to Internet. So HW is OK.

But starting Proxmox 4.4 from internal hdd makes this comp unusable.

My question is - how to reinitialise all networking components?
Using Linux console?

Regards

Arek

I have reinstalled proxmox, cluster, re initiated bonding on two (of three) Ethernet interfaces, restored VMs.
Now everything works as expected.

This however is not solution to the problem, and I wonder if someone faced similar situation with not responding Ethernet.
