Dear,
I am facing a rather complicated problem of understanding.
I came to realize the wrong memory consumption with a new host.
The Host has 32GB RAM and 2 VMS
VM 1 16GB RAM (Using only 8GB RAM)
VM 2 6GB RAM (Using only 2.5GB RAM)
However, in the summary it shows the consumption of 22.7GB RAM. At first, I understood that the result of the summary was referring to the sum of VM1 and VM2.
However, I checked on another host I own and the scenario is quite different.
Host 2 has 48GB RAM and has 56GB Allocated to VMS
And the summary of Host 2, shows the actual consumption of 37GB.
So I would like the help of the illustrious friends to try to solve this dilemma. What can I do to the host summary to display the actual memory consumption of VMS like Host 2?
PS1: KSM is at 0GB in both
PS2: This excessive consumption of memory, ends up impacting on the use of Swap.
Thank you all in advance.
