Prepare Single Host for later Clustering

Hi,

today, i wanted to setup a single host with attached iscsi storage which should be extended with more hostsystems later. so i thought to do "pvecm create clustername" just to get the clusterstuff running, without adding any further hosts. is this the way to go when i plan to extend the setup with more hosts later?

So it wont be a problem to use this Host alone in its cluster and add more Hosts later through pvecm add ? Will it be necessary for me to shutdown any vms on my existing host when i add a second one to the setup?
