I am trying to drive down the power use of my proxmox server. Measuring at the wall I have gotten it down to 59 watts (normal use) through tuning (powersave mode for governor, balance_power for energy_performance_preference, Powertop says all of my tuneables are “good”).
I do not see any c state percent for the pkg (HDW) when looking at Powertop. When I used live Ubuntu to test Powertop, I saw c states that had a value for the percent. Is this normal? The CPU is a fairly modern one (Intel Core i5-13500) and I have all of the bios settings set to “Enabled” or “Auto” (only if enabled is not a choice).
My HDD are always spinning as well. Currently I have 2x14tb and 1x20tb in a LVM pool being used by a container. There are long periods where I would think the drives would spin down to something other than the normal steady state. Can anyone share some advice on this?

PowerTOP version 2.15
