Just saw the new beta on the website today and I have to say I like what I see! Great work so far.
It being a beta it's bound to have bugs so I'd like to help contribute as much as I can. And I think I may have stumbled onto my first strange problem.
I just downloaded and installed 2.0-52943683-14 tonight on a desktop with the cpu virt features enabled. Ran the install via a USB stick and everything went off without a hitch! Install was quick and didn't see anything problematic there.
After install and playing around in the options for a minute I decided to perform an update in console.
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
It seems as though the upgrade wiped out the /etc/pve directory contents. Specifically, where the self generated SSL certs are stored.
Here's the output of my apt logs...
I was going to submit this via bugzilla, but to be honest I've not used it before and I wasn't exactly sure where this should be filed under. So, apologies for dropping this into the forums. But I wanted to at least pass it along.
Also just for kicks, I wanted to see what would happen if I just disabled the SSL certs in the virtual host files. Apache will start up again, but logging into the web interface seems to fail. So it looks like there is some other device that still requires SSL even after it's been disabled in Apache. Which is probably a good thing anyways
Let me know if you need any other info and I'll be glad to find it. I'm reinstalling right now to try and retrace my steps to make sure I can replicate the problem and that it just wasn't something I screwed up
