Hello There,

Setup -

PMG 7.x
Active Directory Integration
User Quarantine

When PMG is configured to quarantine spam emails, we would like recipient to get notified whenever email is quarantined.
  1. Quarantine is admin quarantine or user specific
  2. User must get notification whenever emails are quarantine (Default action object is sender and admin only)
  3. What is the recommended threshold for spam - default is 3

Not sure if I understand your question completely right - so if not please try to explain what you want to achieve in different words.

If you want to send out an notification-mail whenever a mail is put in quarantine - I would really suggest to consider not putting the mail in quarantine, but tag the subject with SPAM (else you generate more mail for each spam-mail that gets received)

If you still think this is what you want you can add a Notify-Action to the rule where the mails are put in quarantine (Notify -> __TARGETS__)
- see https://pmg.proxmox.com/pmg-docs/pmg-admin-guide.html#rule_system_macros

Quarantine is admin quarantine or user specific
depends - the virus (if a Virus is found) and attachment (if you use the Remove Attachment/Attachment Quarantine Action) quarantine are restricted to the Admin, the spam-quarantine is accessible by the user

What is the recommended threshold for spam - default is
This really depends on your needs - try with 5 - see how much spam gets through and how many points it gets (this is well visible in the maillogs/Tracking Center) and adapt it to your needs

also check-out the reference documentation:
https://pmg.proxmox.com/pmg-docs/pmg-admin-guide.html
and the Getting Started page on the wiki:

I hope this helps!
