pmg connection refused

Hi everyone,

I am facing a couple of issues with our PMG (Proxmox Mail Gateway). First, emails are consistently delayed by 4-5 hours or sometimes not received at all. Secondly, the PMG GUI site goes offline intermittently, and when checking through Checkmk, we see the "Connection Refused" error for PMG.

Interestingly, we’ve found that restarting the router is the only solution that works to bring everything back online, as restarting other services or devices doesn’t help.

Has anyone experienced similar issues? Any idea where the problem might lie? We’d really appreciate any help or suggestions!

I think that's a router or DNS issue rather than a PMG problem. Especially if rebooting the router fixes it. When the GUI goes down, check if pmgproxy is active and review mail.log for any delay patterns. If you can, try switching to a different router to rule out hardware.
