Yesterday in my Proxmox plex VM (Ubuntu Server), /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv was full. (Plex media is stored on different hard drive, so this is strictly system stuff, meta data, etc). It was listed at using 100% of 6GB. So I increased it to 14GB. By an hour, it went from 6GB used to about 7GB. I just turned the VM on this morning, and it was back to 6GB used.

I did notice that it only increases in use when I use the localhost address on a PC; the apps through the TV, etc keep it at 6GB (even when in use). How can I reduce/stop this? I only have 4 movies and 1 tv series on my plex media hdd lol.

Logs are only 15M, and crash reports 40Kb.

Just a guess. When streaming a video to a client that doesn't support the resolution or codec it will have to transcode that video to some other format and therefore is creating big temporary video files. Not sure about plex, but when using emby those will be stored on the root filesystem. This could explain why only some clients causethe root filesystem to fill up.

Interesting. I thimk you are correct. Here it is on my PC when viewing something:

I know very little about video and audio... But for some reason it is trying to upscale from 480i to 480p for my PC (connect to a 1440p monitor) and plays it in 480i on the TV?

Is there a way to make it automatically delete after i close the video?

Edit: Interesting. Sometimes it automatically clears when I close the website. Other times it stays elevated.
