I know the article --> https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Physical_disk_to_kvm

I have a few questions on that.

Is it possible to assign a physical hard disk to multiple KVMs at the same time?
Is it possible to assign a physical hard disk only read-only?
I think I have read that libvirt is not compatible with Proxmox. Is that true?

Thank you very much.

Hi,
Is it possible to assign a physical hard disk to multiple KVMs at the same time?
No you can not use the same disk(Partition) in an other VM.

Libvirt and Proxmox are not compatible that is true.

Thanks.

Is this perhaps being considered?
Is it possible to assign a physical hard disk only read-only?

To be more precisely.
You can passthrough disk(partition) to more VMs but there is no locking.
So you would need a cluster File System to govern the disk access.
When you use the disk on multiple VM you would break the FS on the disk.
If you use it as read only disk it would be ok.
