Hello All,

I have a pritty simple home server setup.

After shutting down and installing a fan controller, my server boots but is no longer accessible via HTTP.

I have unplugged all HDD's and sata SSD's besides the boot M.2. Sata type drive (boot) and the nvme via pcie adapter drive (VM storage) however I get this error:

I am able to get into recovery mode as well, but can see the same errors.

Is the boot manager on the m.2 sata drive intact but I have have an issue with the operation system partition on the same drive?

Is there anyway to recover?

I have tried a new sata cable and a new sata port on the motherboard but no luck.

Thanks so much for your help.

Regards,
JKN

It seems that your disk has failed. Try if you can login and access files under /etc/pve, if not, try to copy the file /var/lib/pve-cluster/config.db to another location, this is the database behind /etc/pve.

If you have only the PVE install on the M2, plug in another one, reinstall and recover your config.

That was my fear! Thank you for the details on what to grab (if I can).

So is what we are seeing the boot loader side of things?
