Hi every one,
I am installing pbs 3.1 on proxmox 8.1.
I configured as datastore for pbs a share folder (via cifs) on my NAS.
My question is:
If I will lost the pbs vm, can I installing a new pbs vm and "reload" the old backups on my NAS?

yes, this is possible, although you will have to do it manually (mount the folder, add the datastore to the `/etc/proxmox-backup/datastore.cfg` config file).

While it works it won't be fast when using a NAS. PBS needs IOPS performance so ideally a local SSD, especially when you plan to store several TBs of backups. So don't expect too much.
