[SOLVED] PBS v4.0.12-1 – Proxy/UI freeze when browsing 'content' during an S3 backup

Hello,

I started using the freshly new Proxmox Backup Server v4 (4.0.12-1) with Wasabi S3 Storage.
This is working extremly well, thank you for this update that was the most wanted since years !

Here is an issue I have on my side :

The issue :

• I noticed that if I navigate on the PBS UI to the "content" folder for checking DURING a backup, the entire Proxy (port 8007) freeze.

So :
The backup process freeze (on PVE side), the PBS UI doesn't respond anymore (went into timeout) but I see no error (journalctl -xe), and the proxy PID process is "still runnnig" but like a zombie.

All comeback when I issue a simple "service proxmox-backup-proxy restart".
And the PVE continue it's job (but fail the VM that was backuping).

At the end of the backup process, the PBS UI show :

Hello,

To everyone that follow this issue, I had fails too during the backups, and that was a more serious problem for me .
But I finally "solved" the error by applying a "Traffic Control Rule" for my backups to 10MiB/s (burst 25MiB/s) (it may be more but I didn't tested the limit so far).

I think this can be an S3 provider (Wasabi) API limit that broke the process...

Since this limit, no fail since week of daily backup !
