Hello,

I recently tried upgrading PBS from 3.4 to 4.0 tonight and it failed miserably most likely due to my own fault. I followed the documentation on adding the Trixie repositories and then rant the pbs3to4 script and everything checked out. When I ran the apt dist-upgrade command I made the mistake of doing it from the shell within the GUI. As such t he web UI no longer loads and pbs3to4 is not even found as a script. I did make the backup configuration it says to do in the beginning so at least I have that.

I feel like I'm at the point of no return so my question is, when I reinstall PBS I had a ZFS raid with 3 data disks that were independent of the OS disk. Will I be able to 'reattach' that when I reinstall? Is there documentation for how to import the config that was exported prior to updating?

Thanks everyone for helping me!

You can still connect to the node using ssh, or do the upgrade on the console. Have you already tried that?
