I use a PVE 6.2-12 and a PBS 0.9-1.
When I try to restore a container to a different id I get
Code:
Error: error extracting archive - error at entry "random": failed to create device node: Operation not permitted (os error 1)
TASK ERROR: unable to restore CT 303 - command 'lxc-usernsexec -m u:0:100000:65536 -m g:0:100000:65536 -- /usr/bin/proxmox-backup-client restore '--crypt-mode=none' ct/103/2020-10-16T06:57:23Z root.pxar /var/lib/lxc/303/rootfs --allow-existing-dirs --repository sippve@pbs@192.168.255.68:DS-01' failed: exit code 255
Any idea?

Ups... sorry.
I had to uncheck the 'Unpriviledged Container' than it worked.

But for what is this option, if it is not working?

I have the same problem with 'normal' backups (just checked)
But the message is different:
Code:
extracting archive '/mnt/pve/pbx-backup/dump/vzdump-lxc-104-2020_02_21-05_31_51.tar.gz'
tar: ./var/spool/postfix/dev/urandom: Cannot mknod: Operation not permitted
tar: ./var/spool/postfix/dev/random: Cannot mknod: Operation not permitted
Total bytes read: 867921920 (828MiB, 67MiB/s)
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors
