pbs fails to boot after install

I have a box that was running Proxmox VE 6.x which I want to repurpose to use with pbs. After doing a fresh install with the pbs 1.1 ISO the system will successfully complete the install and then will reboot. This is where is hangs. The attached picture shows where the boot process stalls. Looking for any help, confused as I had it running VE just a day ago.

Thanks

are you sure that it did not boot? it looks like it booted but spewed some messages to the console. try pressing enter a few times and see if the login prompt comes up (also check over the network if you can reach it)
if not, try to boot from e.g. a live cd to check if the kernel is compatible with your hardware(e.g. with a ubuntu 20.04 iso)

If it were that simple. Yes, I display is frozen pressing enter has no effect neither is there connectivity over the network using either ssh or the web UI. I can however install VE using the latest ISO "proxmox-ve_6.3-1" That will install and start up as expected all functions work for the VE. I have half thought of installing the backup server from that. One other method I tried was installing Debian on the box and then use the repositories to install proxmox-backup which installed but will again freeze and fail to fully boot after the install. I also can boot using Ubuntu 20.04 & 20.10 using their live ISO.

Any other items to check?

thats weird, because the only thing i could imagine having any influence is the kernel, and that is the same between pve/pbs... could you try to boot a different kernel after installing on top of debian or pve?

I finally got it to install an boot, It is possible that each time I downloaded the ISO for PBS 1.1 it was getting corrupted somehow or something. Seems odd as it still installed okay. However I used a PBS 1.0 ISO to install which it installed just fine like v1.1 and it booted and functioned as one would expect. Then ran all the updates now all is good.
