is there some solution or script in the meantime, to show how much non-shared-blocks/space a VM takes in backup datastore ?

i want to get rid of "space eaters" with bad deduplication ratio, i.e. adjust backup/retention policy accordingly.

for now, in borg i have something like this, as borg info on the repo or archive would provide such info.

since pbs is simliar (afaik) wrt to block storage/dedup, i wonder if something like this is available in the meantime, or at least being planned !?

no there is no such tool yet, but you can open a feature request here: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com
while it's probably not hard implementing something like this, i guess it will be quite resource intensive for larger datastores (since it has to iterate over all backups and chunks)

ok, thanks, that's what i thought.

yes, but even if it's ressource intensive - it will help to free up space if your backup pool is getting full
