PBS backing up relatively big virtual machines

I am using PBS to backup about 300 systems running on PVE then sync it to a backup location to another PBS. It works GREAT , have been doing it for last year with daily and weekly backups, with no issues. This VMs are relatively small in size, the cumulative size is about 13-14TB.

I have a VM that is about 22TB actual data (the drives total capacity is 44TB) and growing with a lot of files - would you anticipate any issues backing it up because of its size assuming enough fast storage on PBS ?

While at it , is anybody doing backup to PBS from VMware ESXi ? It seems like the easiest solution would be to migrate the VM to PVE but it is not possible at the time. I know the ESXi is not supported but found that it can be done via Veeam backup with the destination of PBS. Has anybody tried that ?

Last questions, any new development with proxmox-backup-client and RHEL to do folder level backup ?

Thank you

For your VM with 22TB of data, as long as you have sufficient fast storage on your PBS and a fast network connection, you shouldn't encounter any major issues due to its size.
