PBS 4.2 boot install error in VM hyper-v lab

I want to install PBS 4.2 in a VM in hyper-v fron windows 11 as lab.
I use the installer proxmox-backup-server_4.2-1.iso and I have this error:

I modified the line "nomodeset", but i have the same error.

I am trying to install PBS on a Hyper-V virtual machine.I can successfully boot from the ISO, but then I encounter the following error: "no device with valid ISO found".

Here are the details of my configuration:

  • VM Generation: Generation 2
  • Storage: DVD drive attached to a SCSI controller
  • ISO Integrity: I have verified the hash of the ISO; it is not corrupted.
  • ISO Location: Stored on the Hyper-V local storage.
I also tried with a Generation 1 VM; the installer proceeds further, but I eventually run into the following...

Thread 'Proxmox VE 9.2-1 ISO not installing in nested Hyper-V'

Hello,

im trying to install PVE 9.2-1 in a nested Hyper-V VM. The Media is booting but the ISO Image is not recognized. (see Screenie). The same VM works with 9.1-1.
I have already recreated the vm, double checked the iso and hash.

Has anyone seen this issue? Or even better got a solution for it.

You could try with the PBS 4.1 ISO:
https://enterprise.proxmox.com/iso/ or http://download.proxmox.com/iso/
