Hi folks, i would like to upgrade to PBS 4 but ran into something that puzzels me.

3.4.1 is using bookworm and according to the guide for the repos (https://pbs.proxmox.com/docs/installation.html#debian-package-repositories) i should have 3.4.2 minimum to upgrade to 4. But running apt update && apt dist-upgrade does not give me anything new so PBS remains at 3.4.1.

If i change bookworm to bullseye in the apt files, the repos are marked red (old suite). Makes sense since bookworm is the newer than bullseye.

So how to i upgrade to 3.4.2?

Futher information:
I have remove the old .list apt files and added the new format .sources. I changed trixie to bookworm.
now i get the following error:

Code:
root@s-pbs:/etc/apt/sources.list.d# apt update
Hit:1 http://security.debian.org/debian-security bookworm-security InRelease
Hit:2 http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm InRelease

never mind the public key issue is fixed.

so ran apt update && apt dist-upgrade
and no new updates.

Code:
# proxmox-backup-manager versions
proxmox-backup-server 3.4.1-1 running version: 3.4.1

so is there actually a 3.4.2?

Right, so do I understand you correctly and now you got the latest packages or do you still face issues? If so, please post the output of apt update again

Overnight it seems apt has found the needed updates... PBS is now on 3.4.3. So i will now start the update to 4.

This thread can be closed, marked as solved.

Great, might have been that your mirror was not fully synced just yet. Thanks for letting us know that you were able to upgrade to the latest bookworm packages now
