This goes beyond networking, but started there.
Moving admin access to a new OVS INTPort. Created the new port, did not delete old (both are on different physical ports as well as VLANs). Reset the machine.
Now the password, which is one used on a weekly if not daily basis, does not work. It does not work on the GUI. It does not work on SSH. It does not work on the physical machine itself.
To further clarify, when I go to the address (either new or old) for proxmox, it looks normal. The login box pops up, the password simply is rejected. Yes I made sure the correct authentication was selected and used both just in case.
Would really like to get back into the machine. Have backups but the lack of any sort of built in ability to make easy snapshots of the host makes restoring a pain. Yes, some of us need to backup the host. shocking...
