Password policy for users?

Hello,

is possible to set some password policy for users, as lenght of the password, or big/low cases + number?
There is no policy, so users can in GUI set passwords as "a" "123" etc....

passwords need to be longer than 5 characters. But there is no policy otherwise.

if you use Windows authentication you can set all your password policies through that... i assume its the same if you use a linux/unix based authentication?
