Passthrough GPU and usb host controller.

Hi All,

First post.

I have technical experience and come from unraid. I read some articles that said Proxmox is better than unraid for VM's. I've figured out how to passthrough a GPU. However I haven't figured out how to passthrough GPU and USB controller.

I've spent days looking through articles and it seems that as upgrades happen. some setups get broken... and I was not able to make them work. I'm just looking for the best how to guide or instructions. If you can share a link with me I'll be off to the races. BTW, my VM's are for my kids to game on and for me to tinker with. I also run PLEX for movies etc...

what problems do you encounter? the pass through docs are here: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#qm_pci_passthrough
passing through a usb controller is the same as passing through a gpu, go to the vm, add pci device, add usb controller (just make sure it is in its own iommu group)

OK I got 1 VM working by breaking up IOMMU group. I don't know how to passthrough other video card and usb to VM 2.? I added to VCIO... on vm boot it just throws an error any help is appreciated.
