Hello people, I am about to perform a clean installation on my hp dl 360 g7 server with 8 disks, 2 for the system in raid 1 and the 6 for the storage of the VMs in raid 10, my question is when I install proxmox it automatically partitions the disk to have space for the VMs and another to upload the ISOs there so that the VM partition is not created and the remaining space is used by the ISO partition? thank you

Depends. If you use ZFS for software raid, both the VM storage and the file storage share the same 100% space and it doesn't matter.
In case you use LVM on top of HW raid you will have to manually destroy the LVM-Thin pool and extend your "root" LV. There is the "Advanced LVM configuration option" paragraph in the manual buy as far as I understand it won't let you use more than 25% for your root filesystem ("The maximum limit of the root volume size is hdsize/4.") but you could tell the installer not to create a thin pool by setting "maxvz" to "0" ("If set to 0, no data volume will be created and the storage configuration will be adapted accordingly."): https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Installation
