[SOLVED] Partially working VM Networking

Just installed PVE 8.4.0 and I am having strange network issues. I have two VM’s, TrueNAS and Ubuntu. I am unable to get to the outside network and in Ubuntu can’t even get to the gateway properly. To make it easier to understand, here is a table describing what’s happening:

Ping gateway (10.10.10.1)	YES	NO
Get DHCP reservation from gateway	YES	YES
Ping any other subnet system (10.10.10.x)	YES	YES
Ping external IP address (e.g., 8.8.8.8)	YES	NO
Ping external URL (e.g., www.yahoo.com)	NO	NO

Any ideas where to even begin???

After a lot more testing, it looks like this behavior was the result of a troublesome Netgear Orbi router. The router has issues with access controls only sometimes working. Figured out a backward way to work around that and PVE is working like a champ!
