OVS and RSTP

a) Adding rstp_enable=true to an OVS bridge works, but if I add the same to the bridged interfaces, the bridge never "materializes". Besides wondering what possibly causes this can have, where is network administration activity logged?
b) Are both rstp_enable and rstp-enable valid syntax? ( -/_ )

You might find relevant logs regarding network configuration in the system journal with journalctl.

RSTP is an OVS-specific feature [1] and does not work with a regular Linux Bridge.
