Hello,

today i migrate a vmware image to an open-vz container. On VMWare i was using open-iscsi in the virtuell machine without any problem.

Now i have problems to get open-iscsi to work in the open-vz container.

After the open-iscsi initiator starts, the follow message comes up:

Code:
Starting iSCSI initiator service: iscsid failed!
Setting up iSCSI targets:
Logging in to [iface: default, target: iqn.2004-10.com.xxxxx:iseries-000xxxx50:default-target, portal: 192.168.x.xx,3260]
iscsiadm: can not connect to iSCSI daemon (111)!
iscsiadm: initiator reported error (18 - could not communicate to iscsid)

Uncle google cant help .... search on forum doesnt help too

Regards, Valle

Now the only way i find out is to bind the iscsi target to the host and use vzctl --devnodes to assign the device to the open-vz container.

open-iscsi i didnt get to work in a open-vz container. is this the only way?

Regards, Valle

Hi,

I cannot help you with your issue but I am interested in the method you used to convert from VMWARE to an openvz container.

Thank you.
