Openvsiwtch Patch port

Can i not use Openvswitch patch port with Proxmox? I entered all necessary configuration in /etc/network/interfaces but after reboot i can see the ports/bridges from GUI but nothing is activated. I can however create the same port/bridge through CLI using ovs-vsctl command and they work. But after a reboot all are patch ports are gone even though GUI lists the patch ports. Of course it shows as unknown Interface but so does Infiniband interfaces.
Am i to assume correctly that as of Proxmox VE 4.1 only OVS type Bridge, IntPort and Bond is supported?

What in particular did you add into /etc/network/interfaces and what should be the result shown by

ovs-vsctl show
