Open with PVE UI adds wrong port at the end

Good day,

I was able to connect both PVE and PBS to the datacenter manager, and I am able to see the stats, interact with the VMs/containers from the center, and all the good stuff. However, when I attempt to connect using "Open in PVE UI", the URL automatically adds the port 8006 (or 8007 when pbs). For example: instead of opening ds88284.monkeying.net:443, it opens ds88284.monkeying.net:8006 .

I did confirm that the correct port shows under /etc/proxmox-datacenter-manager/remotes.cfg .

Thanks,
Ds

Hi @bbgeek17 , thank for the welcome.
I know that 8006 and 8007 are the correct ports, but I'm trying to remove them from being added at the end of the url when clicking "Open in PVE UI".

It is either I create the connection using IP (ex 192.168.1.3:8006) and I get a cert error, or I use hostname (ex ds88284.monkeying.net:443). If I mix the hostname with the port, the connection breaks.

I should have noted that I am using nginx to take the IP:8006 to turn it to hostname:443.

That is a somewhat critical piece of information for your particular situation.

You can create a trusted self-signed certificate for the IP if you wanted.

Without looking at the code I suspect that it is hard-coded. You may want to try to figure out how to get hostname:8006 working with the certificate, i.e. without nginx.
