Hi,

Thanks for looking, hopefully we can figure this out. I am needing to set the Out Of Memory (OOM) adjustments for certain processes that run under an OpenVZ container I am using under Proxmox. It looks like I can simply echo some values to /proc/vz/oom_score_adj, but I am needing the settings to stick across reboots.

So I came across this guide:

docs.openvz.org/openvz_users_guide.webhelp/_configuring_container_oom_killer_behavior.html
(sorry can't put the clickable link, I'm a new user)

It looks like I should be able to setup the file /etc/vz/oom-groups.conf, and that should get dumped into the /proc/vz/oom_scsore_adj when starting up after a reboot. However, this is not working for me.

I have tried moving this oom-groups.conf file to different places in the /etc/ folder, but no luck.

Does Proxmox allow me to setup this of OOM adjustment file? And if so, is there another location I need to set it up?

Thanks!

We do not use OpenVZ anymore. Seems you run a very old version, which is not supported anymore.

Yep, it is an older version. Hm.. Is there any documentation about this that may still exist for Proxmox?
