One data center or multiple data centers

Hi,

I'm planning to have 3 identical hosts with FC SAN (fencing and HA already working), an additional host with FC SAN + local SSDs and two smaller firewall-boxes all installed with Proxmox 3.4.

What are the pros and cons for having all integrated in one data center (one GUI to rule them all) vs. multiple data centers (3 nodes SAN, 1x stand alone, 2x firewall).

What implications has the one data center approach on HA?

Hi,
Generally there are no negative behaviors. The only think is, if you two firewalls and the small node are down your Ha nodes will be fenced. The reason is the quorum, the cluster always need ceil(n/2) to operate. And you should have the same subscription level in all nodes in the cluster.

What do you mean by "you HA nodes will be fenced"? Will they be shut down resulting in no nodes up?
