Hi,

I am a beginner using Proxmox and currently testing the system on an old HP Microserver Gen 7.
Installation of Proxmox worked like a charm and I was also able to install first VMs on it.

Now I want to install a VM with OpenMediaVault 5.x and created a corresponding VM.
I have two ext4 hdds (currently not installed to the system) which contain data from and old OMV installation.
The Server was running OMV before. Now it should run Proxmox with OMV as virtual machine.

When I now plugin in the two HDDs in slot 3 and slot 4 I want to be able to mount them in my OMV without loosing any data.
The problem is that I cannot move the data somewhere else, let proxmox do whatever it needs and then attach them to the OMV VM.
I want to be able to do it without data loss if this is even possible.

Can you assist me here?
Kind regards
jolu

I do not need OMV. A solution that maps both drives via Samba to my network would be enough too.

Maybe the post should be moved to the german section. Sorry for that!
Ich würde gern auf Deutsch weitermachen, damit Englisch nicht der limitierende Faktor ist und ich alles verstehe :D
