Hi,

We want to setup a 3-node cluster with Ceph. All will be in a meshed connectivity. No switch in between. We want to use 25gbps card with the following specs:

OCP 3.0 AIOM 4x 25GbE SFP28 PCIe x8 Intel® E810-CAM1

Is it supported by proxmox?

Do i need to install any firmware before using this nic explicitly? Or is it already compatible with the pve kernel and i do not need to install anything?

I think u do not need extra driver, module,etc...u can ask a user from the forum. Search for "E810"!

We shall make the 3 node cluster with Micron 7450 MAX drives as OSD. Each node will have 5 of such drives. How much Read / Write IOPS will I get out of this cluster? Of course the cluster will have no switch in between. All will be meshed connectivity.

This is just my opinion as a newbie. Assuming that your network card has no upper limit on speed and throughput, and only considering hard disks, then use your drives speed * number / 3, and then give a discount of about 10%. It is close. Of course, in actual use, it will be affected by quite a few factors.
