noVNC not working behind HAproxy

I put our three nodes behind HAproxy using round-robin. When accessing via HAproxy, most of the time, noVNC doesn't work and says "failed to connect to server"—sometimes it works, though. Accessing noVNC via any individual host's IP works just fine.

Not sure how to fix that, looking forward to your suggestions!

Others in the forum mentioned (e.g. here) that round-robin will break in some cases and you better use a reverse proxy. You can either install that externally (some people do so on OPNsense), on a HA VM inside of PVE or on multiple PVE-hosts (HAproxy, VIP, keepalived, sticky sessions) as described in this post.
